Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Do you have a Mother’s Day gift yet for the special mama in your life?
According to Google Trends, the search for “Mother’s Day gift” has sharply increased in the past few days. That tells me two things: Most people are right in the thick of buying a Mother’s Day gift and a lot of people have no idea what to buy.
Well, don’t worry! Because I’ve got some ideas for you here that will work for a variety of mamas.
Hey Mama, if you find my blog posts helpful, would you help support this blog by making purchases through product links on this page? It will not cost you any extra but the commissions I receive as an Amazon and brand affiliate help to cover the costs of operating this blog so that I can keep it running ad-free. Thank you so much for your support. You are literally the reason this blog was started and the fuel that motivates me to keep it going!
Sips By Tea Gift Card
This is really cool and a great Mother’s Day gift Idea for the tea-loving mama. My sister got this for me for Christmas last year and I love it.
With a Sips by gift card, the mama in your life can go onto the Sips By website, enter her gift certificate code, and then choose her preferences and/or specific teas from a collection of different brands, types and flavors.
Stick the gift card in a cute mom mug and you are good to go!
Hu Chocolate
I love this chocolate! I love that it’s Fair Trade, organic and only sweetened with coconut sugar. And it’s delicious! I also love that it’s vegan since my nursing toddler is sensitive to dairy.
But why should you get Hu chocolate as a Mother’s Day gift for the mama in your life?
First of all, you can’t go wrong with giving a woman chocolate. Secondly, she won’t even feel guilty eating this chocolate because of the quality ingredients. Thirdly, there are several flavor options including Vanilla Crunch, Salty, Crunchy Mint Dark, Raspberry Cashew Butter and more. And fourthly, as I already mentioned, it’s vegan, which means it’s safe even for breastfeeding moms of dairy-intolerant babies.
Trust me, get her chocolate. And get her GOOD chocolate, like Hu. It’s the kind of chocolate she won’t spend money on for herself.
Midnight Mom Devotional Book
There are a lot of devotional books for moms out there. But to me, this one stands out from others. Each day in this devotional is a simple prayer for a mom in your life who is struggling with something. It also has a place to write the name of the mom you are praying that particular prayer for.
This devotional was given to me by a friend when I was staying in the hospital with my cardiac baby. It was really helpful in guiding me on how to pray for other moms going through their own difficulties. As I read the prayer for each night, it would bring to mind a certain mom in my life dealing with the situation mentioned in the prayer.

This devotional made it easy for me to think beyond my own circumstances. To acknowledge and pray for other moms having just as real of challenges as I was having. And each prayer is short. That’s always a winner with busy moms everywhere.
Kindle Books Gift Card
I have to preface this by saying that Amazon apparently does not have Kindle specific gift cards, which I find odd. So here is what a Kindle gift card would look like: Amazon gift card with a note specifying that it’s for purchasing books or e-books.
You can, at least, get an e-gift card that says “I love you Mom.”
Alternatively, you could purchase a Kindle Unlimited subscription for her.
This Mother’s Day gift idea is obviously for the mama who loves to read. I like to read and often have to do it on my phone or tablet while holding a sleeping baby in the dark. But I always feel guilty buying books when I don’t even get a physical copy for my money. So there I am, searching for the Kindle freebies that often leave me disappointed. I would rather buy a physical book that offers me something tangible and permanent for my money.

Nonetheless, e-books are often necessary. So give her a gift card that eliminates the guilt. Now she’ll be able to read to relax or learn whenever, wherever without having to feel bad for spending the money.
Eternal Light Co. T-Shirt
I love Eternal Light Company. They have a large selection of t-shirts with inspirational messages on them and several of them would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift! I know there are tons of t-shirts and t-shirt companies out there. But I just love the story behind this one.
Trent Fikes is the owner and runs the business with his wife, Peyton. He started the business selling solar light crosses after a job-site injury altered the path of his career and life. Currently, they sell men’s and women’s apparel along with solar lights. Their purpose is to provide quality products with a focus on God.
Eternal Light also offers a subscription box that you receive each month. It contains a 30-day devotional and two t-shirts. I also love this idea as a gift.
I ordered the shirt pictured above for my own mom for Mother’s Day (shhh, don’t tell her) and I’m excited to give it to her!
But I have to say, it did take a couple of weeks to arrive. So this probably is not going to come in time for this Mother’s Day. But you can always wrap a picture of it for her to open on Sunday and then she can expectantly wait for her package. Or, buy her the subscription and wrap a printout of it to show her what she will be getting.
Also, as a little side note, they frequently have offers for a free t-shirt with a purchase, which I also love. Who doesn’t love free t-shirts?
A List of Compliments
This Mother’s Day gift might sound cheesy or even cheap at first glance. But if you do it right, it will be truly special to her.
Write down all the things you love and appreciate about the mama in your life. And I don’t just mean one-word attributes. Write down the time you were the most proud of her. Your favorite memory with her. Something she has done that has impacted you significantly.
Tell her what she does that makes you and others feel loved. Tell her what makes her different (in a good way) from all the other moms. Remind her of why you are so thankful to have her specifically as a mama in your life.

This needs to be sincere. If it’s not from the heart, it will be obvious. But if you really put the effort into this one, it just might be worth more than any Mother’s Day gift you could buy.
Massage Gift Certificate
Does this Mother’s Day gift idea really need any explanation? Most women love massages. And most mamas have plenty of tense muscles that need a little TLC. Give her the gift of an hour of relaxation to calm her mind and her body.
And don’t forget to provide childcare if needed. A gift certificate to go out is only as good as the childcare a mama has access to.
A Morning to Herself
Another option that costs $0 on your part. Most moms don’t get much, if any, alone time. They don’t often get to sleep in, if ever. They feel chronically behind on things. They get overstimulated frequently.
What better gift to give the whole family than a mama who feels refreshed and energized to be with them? Give her the gift of a morning all to herself. To sleep in and then do whatever she wants while the kids are out. Or go out wherever she wants to go without the kids.
It’s not because she doesn’t love or want to be with her family. Just think of it as her first vacation day after years of working around the clock. She loves her job. But she needs a little time to herself now and then. She’ll love you for this one.
This doesn’t have to be on Mother’s Day. It can be a hand-written gift certificate to be redeemed another day.
It’s Your Turn, Mama
